  I enjoyed that the hotel was in the heart of the downtown district. It made it close for site seeing.

  Staff friendliness and helpfulness, excellent food and great wine selection at restaurant. General quality of room and hotel appointments and the comfort of the excellent king size bed and armchairs.

  Although the service at the restaurant was good, the food took quite a while to arrive at the table. Also we stayed on the eighth floor, and although the suites in that area are earmarked as having a city/harbour view, our city view was certainly nothing to write home about.

  Its a beautiful hotel, very spacious and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic for exploring Victoria. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

  All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.Great recommendation from the doorman for breakfast! Loved the indoor pool however...(see below)

  Our room was next to the elevator and it was noisey. The pool and spa had too much clorine which burned our eyes

  Good location near the tour bus station, complimentary internet. I only stayed for one night and was out most of the time so I did not try the resturant and other facilities but the room was comfortable with classic decor.

  Old fashioned TV need to be replaced with modern wall mounted TV which also will increase space in the room.

  The hotel is a world class hotel, with all the amenities that you need. The location is what the hotel is all about, with it being so close to the inner harbour.

  The staff was great and very helpful. They did not have a reservation for us from Booked.net but patiently worked out the details with a Booked.net agent and got us an upgraded room for the same price we had negotiated with Booked.net. The room had a lovely view looking over a local Victoria stone church. The beds are so comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous, linens incredible and th Marriott standard was met. We enjoyed a hot chocolate in the restaurant/lounge and were served by the most charming young bartender. The location was perfect.
